The focus of Dr Ekkehard Nolting's mandates is on commercial and corporate law. He advises commercial enterprises and players in the social economy on setting up companies, restructuring or structuring corporate succession. In addition, he is involved in the design of cooperation models between various actors from business, science and research.

His expertise is particularly sought after in the legally sound accompaniment of shareholder meetings or disputes - in this area he was also active for many years as a lecturer at the German Lawyers' Academy on courses for specialised lawyers. Dr Nolting advises companies on issues of manager liability and corporate governance. In project business, he accompanies complex transactions such as company acquisitions or mergers, including necessary due diligence.

Ekkehard Nolting brings many years of experience in association and foundation law to his work for companies in the social economy. He also assists his clients with real estate projects and contract law issues.

Before joining Battke Grünberg as a partner in 2010, Dr Nolting was a partner at the supra-local law firm Graf von Westphalen. He studied in Göttingen, Lausanne (Switzerland) and Freiburg i.Br. and completed his doctorate in Tübingen with Prof. Klaus Hopt on international contract law. He has worked as a lawyer since 1988. To this day, he lectures at advanced training courses on corporate law at the German Lawyers' Academy. He has also shared his professional expertise in numerous publications in renowned legal journals.


Responsibility in an honorary office. Ekkehard Nolting does not shy away from responsibility beyond his work at the law firm: he is involved on an honorary basis as the chairman of the senate at the Saxon Bar Court and can look back on eight years of board work at the Saxon Bar Association, four years of which as vice-president. He was also active for a long time on the international stage in the German Committee of an International Bar Organisation (UIA). Today, Ekkehard Nolting is heavily involved in the region as a board member of Presseclub Dresden e.V. and BioSaxony e.V., a cluster of the biotechnology industry.
